We only have one life, it is precious and a blessing from our God above. He gave us life to enjoy living here on earth, to be loved as what he made and to be joyous whatever it brings. Me as one of he creates, I want to live as God’s ways want us to live but then it’s not that perfectly happened. There’s a lot of circumstances that we may face every day such as working a hard time to earn money, to provide the needs of the family, to be secure, to be a healthy, crisis, to face the calamity change as well and etc. All of these circumstances will occur,  we don’t know if it will come one at a time or maybe all together. Like the current situation of our country today. We went through a virus called COVID-19 that is viral, dangerous and no cure disease. This situation is really cruel because it will maybe escalate and the crisis of our country may get worst.

Current Issue of our country

The COVID-19 virus infects people of all ages. However, evidence to date suggests that two groups of people are at a higher risk of getting severe on that disease. These are older people; and those underlying medical conditions. Who emphasizes that all must protect themselves from that virus in order to protect others. I watched the news last day and people are doing panic buying of their groceries, afraid of what will happen to them and their family, always wearing a face mask in a public area and doing some action to prevent infection of that virus. Others also panicking what presidents address the nation to be lock down due to our calamity. People who are in needy situations think how can they provide their needs if they don’t have work, they said that it’s better for us to look at what are we going to eat every day instead of buying some disinfection things and to prevent into a public area because that’s their way to survive daily life.

Ways to prevent infection of virus

As we experienced this kind of situation there’s a lot of action that the government implies to our country to have a resolution. That lockdown that they implemented, others may not agree but I think that’s the best way they thought to protect our country. They just want to avoid the worst situation like what happen from other countries. Here are some ways that they advise to all people.

  1. Wash your hands frequently – Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.

  2. Maintain social distancing – Maintain at least 1 meter (3 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.

  3. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth

  4. Practice respiratory hygiene – Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene

  5. If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early – Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority.

Prevention is better than cure

Prevention is better than cure. Why? Simple as if you answer this question. Which one would you prefer, cure your illnesses and keep on back and forth to hospitals, do medication every time or rather than protecting yourself from disease, eat some healthy foods and follow instructions and advice then you can live better?  Me? Better to choose the second option, simple and can really benefit you more. I have read some opinion from a professional author from a book does say “Being satisfied with the little we have; academically, spiritually, financially, ecumenically or otherwise will prevent a lot of problems from coming to us, and our dependence in our abilities and talents will go as far as bringing us satisfaction in life.”

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
